Limited Warranty Policy for Xiaomi/Redmi Phones and Tablets

This limited warranty shall apply to Xiaomi /Redmi Mobile phones and Tablets purchased from any Bhutan Telecom counters or Retail outlets supplied by 55 Venture. For handset defects under normal use circumstances, 55 Venture shall provide free-of-charge repair service within the warranty period. 55 Venture may, at its discretion, replace the handset in case of manufacturing defects.

Warranty Validity

  • This limited warranty is only valid in Bhutan, and the product is not eligible for international warranty service. The warranty service may only be performed by 55 Venture.
  • Manufacturing Defects – In case the product is found defective; the customer must notify Bhutan Telecom or 55 Venture within 1 week from the date of purchase. The device must be handed over with the cover and all accessories to claim replacement from 55 Venture.
  • Before returning any unit for service, the customer should back up data and remove confidential and/or personal information from the product. 55 Venture is not responsible for damage or loss of any program, or data during the repair process.While claiming warranty, please ensure the following information is provided:
While claiming warranty, please ensure the following information is provided:

  • Model, serial number, and IMEI number if available.
  • Customer’s full address and contact information.
  • A copy of the invoice/receipt.
  • The warranty in respect of a repaired product/part will continue to be warranted for the remaining of its warranty period, or 30 days from the date of completion of the repair, whichever is longer.
  • This warranty applies when the product is used under normal conditions and for the purpose for which the product was designed.
The limited warranty doesn’t cover the following cases:

  • If the product serial number, IMEI number or warranty seal has been removed, erased, defaced, altered, and/or tampered.
  • Not applicable for repairs in third-party shops that are not Xiaomi representatives.”
  • Natural wear & tear, usage under extreme conditions, damage due to improper care (accident, misuse or negligence, rust, stains) and damage caused by acts of god such as floods, fires or earthquakes.
  • If any damage occurs in/on the outer surface of the products, including but not limited to cracks, dents or scratches on the exterior cases, screens, camera lenses, buttons and other attachments.
  • If it is damaged due to contact with chemical agents, water, sharp objects, improper handling, accident, abuse, or under abnormal use or conditions such as swimming, and so forth.
  • Warranty is limited to the first purchaser/user and it is not transferrable. 55 Venture will determine whether a product is “Out of Warranty” at the company’s discretion according to the policy. Repair of “Out of Warranty” products shall be charged separately by the 55 Venture.
